★ HOT GOSSIP ★

On Oct 19 Moby posted a "Feeling So Real / Born Slippy" mashup "in honor of" the California shows. He also said it's been almost 15 years since he last played with Underworld. A guest spot? Nobody has confirmed it… but we can dream.

Karl Hyde & Rick Smith made a playlist for the show, with Kraftwerk's "Computer Love" ("one of our origin stories"), Brutalismus 3000, Vince Staples, Gal Costa and Joni Mitchell. Listen on Flood Magazine on the drive over.

DJ HOLOGRAPHIC

Detroithouse · disco · techno

Ariel Corley calls herself a "one-woman funk machine": Motown and R&B run through Detroit house and techno. She has played Panorama Bar, Fabric and Coachella '22, and curated a Detroit Love volume for Carl Craig's Planet E. She learned the craft working the coat check at an Ann Arbor club and watching the DJs. Worth arriving early for.

NIA ARCHIVES

UKjungle · drum & bass

A leader of the post-2020 jungle revival. Her 2024 debut album Silence Is Loud reached No. 16 in the UK. Tonight is a DJ set, so expect fast breakbeats, big basslines and a crowd that gets moving early.

FCUKERS

NYCdance-pop · rave

Singer Shanny Wise and producer Jackson Walker Lewis. Their debut album Ö came out on Ninja Tune in March: house beats, '90s rave and drum & bass with pop hooks. They just opened for The Strokes in Queens. The opener people are coming early for.

Survivaltips

Getting out is the hard part. A local fan on Reddit said it once took them 2 hours to get home from 3 miles away.
There's no shuttle for this show. Metro option: A Line to Memorial Park, then walk the Arroyo Seco trail from Old Town.
Rideshare pickup is Lot H, south side of the stadium. Expect a surge right at 11.
Cell signal is spotty. Pick a meet-up spot before you split up. Merch is across from the stage, NW corner.
Food is all plant-based: Gokoku (Reddit raves about the noodles), Angelenos' Wood Fired Pizza, The Good Bar Burger, Cena Vegan, Creamy Boys and more. Free water refills; bring an empty plastic bottle.
It's a November night on grass. Bring a layer and comfy shoes.
After Moby: stay for the encore, then walk out with the crowd and grab a late bite in Old Town Pasadena while the lots empty.
